This project is a perfect example of how great design can embrace a family's lifestyle. When the owners asked us to furnish their new home with entertainment spaces that felt sophisticated yet kid-friendly, we knew exactly where to start.

 

We began by outfitting the unfinished basement to suit the family's full range of needs. A custom-designed bunk room and playroom gave the kids space to get creative and make it their own, while a workout area and a dry bar with counter seating gave the adults a spot to unwind. At the heart of this well-rounded lower level is a cozy media space where the whole family gathers to relax and watch movies together.

 

Starting from an entirely empty home, we layered in clean lines and rich textures to create a look that's comfortable, modern, and inviting, all while highlighting the home's rustic character. The clients asked for a touch of Mid-Century Modern, and we brought that vision to life by pairing timeless modern chairs with instantly classic textiles, tying coastal living to mid-20th-century design.
